RELAX IN THE BEACH WITH TIGHTS…

Como os adelantaba el viernes, este finde hice una escapada fugaz a mi tierra, en la que aproveché para darme algún caprichito como un baño privado en el Balnerario del Gran Hotel La Toja, por eso de ir preparando la piel para el veranito, tras el cual aproveché para dar un paseo por la zona.

As I anticipated you in the Friday post, this weekend I made a brief getaway to Galicia, which I took to give me some whim as a private bath in the  Gran Hotel La Toja,  to start preparing the skin for this summer, after the which I took for a walk around the area.

Os recomiendo que si visitáis Galicia no dejéis de acercaros a esta pequeña isla, se trata de una de las islas más conocidas de Galicia debido a ser un centro termal, de ocio y turístico: cuenta con balnearios, antiguas fábricas de jabones y cosméticos, hoteles de lujo, una encantadora capilla de conchas, campo de golf, puerto deportivo, centro de congresos, casino, pistas de tenis, paddle, tiro al vuelo, tiro con arco, piscinas, urbanizaciones, un centro comercial y otros establecimientos. Sin embargo el centro de la isla todavía conserva virgen un denso pinar, y a su alrededor pequeñas playas. Una pequeña isla unida al Grove, por un precioso puente decimonónico.

I recommend that if you visit Galicia do not fail to get close to this small island, it is one of the most famous islands of Galicia due to being a thermal center, leisure and tourism: spas features, old factories of soaps and cosmetics, hotels luxury, a charming chapel of shells, golf course, marina, conference center, casino, tennis courts, paddle tennis, archery, swimming pools, residential, shopping mall and other establishments. However, the center of the island still retains a dense virgin pine forest, and small beaches around it. A small island connected to the Grove, a beautiful nineteenth-century bridge.

Tras el paseo por la Isla cruzamos el puente y tuvimos la suerte de coincidir con la fiesta del desembarco de los piratas en el Grove, por lo que comimos por allí, en los puestecitos que habían colocado, unas riquísimas tapas típicas gallegas… al mismo tiempo que veíamos un rato una competición de piragüismo 🙂

After the walk around the island, we crossed the bridge and we were lucky to coincide with the celebration of the “landing of piratees” in the Grove, so we ate there, in the stalls that had been set, some delicious Galician tapas … at the same time we saw a while canoeing competition 🙂

Fue una mañana estupenda, que terminó después, pese al tiempo que hacía, en la Playa de la Lanzada… pero eso, os lo cuento otro día! 😉

It was a great morning, ended, despite the weather, on the beach  La Lanzada.. but that, I’ll tell you another day! 😉
